Gynecomastia

HISTORY

Breast with man can be increased, which may present aesthetic and physiological problem. Augmentation of male breast can arise in two ways: with a lot of fat tissue on the breast or with augmentation of gland's tissue (glandular) and overbalance of female hormones. The result is that male breasts look like women and they are increased. In both cases, surgery can be done and remove tissue excess-fat and the gland.

METHODS

If it is about fat tissue, then usually it is done by liposuction. In these cases, fat tissue is removed by fine canillas through a cut of 5 mm and after the operation, the scar is almost invisible.

If there is also gland tissue, then beside the liposuction we remove that tissue by surgery. Cut is on the border of the nipple and in that way the gland and fat tissue are aspirated through that small cut which is later invisible.

ANESTHESIA

Male breast surgery is done under general anesthesia and the result of this surgery is always very good. The patient immediately after the operation wears special compressive clothes (elastic corset) which he must wear for 6 weeks. These corsets are very important for the result of the operation and in that way they increase the effect of the surgery.

RECOVERY

Postoperative recovery is individual after this surgery and it lasts for about 5-7 days. The files are removed one week after the surgery and then the patient can continue with his activities but without much physical effort two weeks after the surgery.
